Disturbed conditions prevailing on Chinese side of our Morthern frontier here resulted in raids by armed gangs into British territory involving considerable loss of property and growing feeling of insecurity in our villages, i have accordingly in consultation with General Officer Commanding arranged for the occupation of certain points along the frontier by six companies of Indian Infantry. Despatch follows by mail.
